ADI KAILASH - OM PARBAT TREK

Adi Kailash: The abode of Lord Shiva popularly known as Adi-Kailash is in the Indian Territory, close to the Indo Tibetan Border. This pilgrimage takes about 16 days in total and covers almost 50% of the distance while traveling to Kailash Manasarovar thru the Indian Side. As per the mythology Adi-Kailash is worshiped as the abode of Lord Shiva and has been considered the most sacred and revered mountain ranges in the world.

 

'Adi Kailash' is considered Lord Shiva's oldest abode. Ravana is Biggest Follower of Lord Shiva. Ravana comes from south (Lanka) to the far North AdiKailash to pray Lord Shiva. AdiKailash popularly known as Chotta Kailash is a holy place on an ancient pilgrim route in the Himalayan Range close to the Indo-Tibetan border. It is similar to Mount Kailash in Tibet in its spiritual significance. Though in a very remote area, the Darshan (view) of Lord Shiva's abode is well worth the effort it takes to get there. It is an area of great natural beauty, peace and serenity. Among the five abode of Shiva 'Adi Kailash' is situated in Kumaon Mandal in Uttarakhand.

 

OM Parvat: It’s a miracle of nature, the shape of valley & peaks forms natural OM. One can see white (Snow) OM on black background. No hypothesis, no assumption, & no imagination are required to visualize OM. OM-The symbol and guide to meditation connecting Man, God and the Universe Chanted at the beginning and finale of all proceedings, extolled in the Upanishads as the best and most effective symbol of God.

 

From Navidang "AumParvat" the miracle of nature is clearly perceptible. Snow lies on this mountain in the shape of a perpetual "Aum", the primordial sound. All other slopes may be bare but this inscription in snow is everlasting and as one observes it, one gets the feeling that the mountain itself is Lord Shiva incarnate

 

After reaching Dharchula, Preparation to walk on foots, porter pony arranged to carry luggage from Dharchula. Jeep is the mode of travel from Dharchula to Mangati, then by foot from Mangati to Gala, Budhi, Chhayalekh & then reach Gunji(48 km). For Darshan of Om Parvat, go to Navidhang & then back to Gunji. From Gunji travel to Kutti (18 km). Kutti to Jollingkong (14 km), Jollingkong to Adi Kailash (4 km).

 

From Gunji the Kailash Mansarover route branches off to Kalapani from where the Kali river originates. Onwards from here is Navidang (3987m) Lipupass is only 9 kms from here. During this trek one gets an opportunity to view the snow peaks of Annapurna, thick forests, waterfalls and wild flowers.

 

 

TOUR ITINERARY (Ex - Kathgodam)

 

Kathgodam :- "The Gateway of Kumaon Hills" is situated at the foothills of Himalayas in Nainital District, is the terminus of the broad gauge line of North East Railways connecting Nainital with Delhi, Dehradun & Howarah line from Bareilly.

 

The Distance from Kathgodam to New Delhi is 266 km, Kathgodam to Nainital is 35 km and 6 km is immediately north of Haldwani. Kathgodam is considered the twin city of Haldwani and the beauty of Uttarakhand reflects in the small town of Kathgodam.

Day 1:– Haldwani / Kathgodam – Jageshwar Temple – Patal Bhuvneshwar

Pickup from Haldwani / Kathgodam drive to Jageshwar Dham. Jageshwar temples are a group of 124 ancient Hindu Temples dated between 7th and 14th century. The valley has a number of temple clusters such as the Dandeshwar and Jageshwar sites. After darshan continue journey to Patal Bhuvneshwar. Patal Bhuvaneshwar is one of the most mysterious and spiritual place of Uttarakhand. The way to the Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave goes through a long and narrow tunnel. Other than Lord Shiva the forms of Sheshnag, Kal Bhiarav, Ganesha and several other gods can be seen in Patal Bhuvaneshwar. It is believed that the cave is the abode of 33 crore Gods and Goddesses. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2:- Patal Bhuvneshwar - Dharchula (100 Kms/ 3 Hrs Approx.) 915 m

After breakfast drive to Dharchula. On reaching Dharchula Check in hotel. Today medical and inner line permits at Dharchula. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 3:- Dharchula – Nabhi

Early morning, we will drive from Dharchula to Nabhi. You can see also a glimpse of Mt. Annapurna and other Himalayan peaks. The road is full of thrill with its beauty. Arrival at Nabhi by afternoon. Overnight at Heritage home at Nabhi.

 

Day 4:- Nabhi – Jollingkong – Adi Kailash - Nabhi

We will start early morning from Nabhi to Jollingkong. See the beauty of the divine Adi Kailash. Visit Parvati temple, which is around 2.5 Km by trekking from our camp site. Here you can see the reflecting image of Mt Adi Kailash in Gauri kund, near to the foot of Adi Kailash. Afternoon return back to Nabhi. Overnight stay.

 

Day 5:- Nabhi – Kalapani – Nabhidhang – Om Parbat – Budhi

Today we visit Kali temple at Kalapani. After spending some time here drive to Navidhang for Om Parbat Darshan. After Pooja and meditation we will drive back to Gunji and continue journey to Budhi. Overnight stay at Budhi village.

 

Day 6:- Budhi – Dharchula

After breakfast the group will return to Dharchula. When we reach check in hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel

 

Day 7:- Dharchula – Kathgodam

After breakfast, we will depart from Dharchula to Kathgodam. Drop you at Kathgodam railway station/Bus Stand. Tour ends here
