TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar (230 kms/6-7hrs)
Arrival Delhi Railway Station / Airport / Hotel, Meet & Assist further drive to Haridwar. Later drive to Haridwar transfer to your Hotel. Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening. Back to your hotel, Night halt.
Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. The 'Aarti' worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating 'dia' (lamp) is a moving ritual.
Day 2: Haridwar - Rishikesh – Joshimath
Morning after breakfast, drive to Joshimath. On the way visit at Gurdwara at Rishikesh. Continue your journey for Srinagar. Reach Srinagar visit Gurdwara there. Continue journey to Joshimath. Check in hotel overnight stay.
Joshimathis situated on the slopes above the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four 'Maths' established by AdiShankaracharya, Joshimath is in the Badrinath to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. There are many temples in the township most important is the temple of Nir Singh in commotion of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity is with time and the popular belief holds that the day the the arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Gods will transfer the residence into the neighboring Niti Valley at BhavishyaBadri. Joshimath is connected by regular bus service to Rishikesh, Haridwar, Badrinath and many other centres in the region
Day 3: Joshimath - Govindghat
Morning after breakfast, drive to reach Govindghat. Reach Govindghat. Visit Gurudwara Gobind Ghat. Check in hotel. Free day for acclimatization. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Govindghat- Ghangaria (Gobind Dham) (13 Kms Trekking / 8-9hours)
Morning after breakfast starts your trekking for Ghangaria (12 kms). It is the base camp for visiting Hemkunt Sahib and Valley of Flowers. Reach Ghangaria . Visit Gurdwara there. Overnight at hotel
Day 5: Ghangaria - Hemkunt Sahib- Ghangaria (7 Kms Trekking/ 7-8 hours)
Morning after early breakfast, start trekking to reach Hemkund Sahib, one of the holiest pilgrimages for the Sikhs. Snow-covered peaks and mountains make the backdrop for 'The Hemkund Lake'. The Hemkunt Sahib, the World’s Highest Gurudwara, is situated at an altitude of 4,329 mts. In the afternoon trek down to reach Ghangaria for overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 6: Ghangaria - Govindghat (13 Kms Trekking (8-9hours)
Morning after early breakfast, start return trek to Govindghat. On arrival, drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath and Karnaprayag. On arrival, check into Tourist Bungalows for overnight stay. At the confluence of Mandikini and Alaknanda river, Rudraprayag is a Hindu Pilgrimage site.
Day 7 : Govindghat –Badrinath
Drive to Badrinath visit Badrinath Temple. There are other interesting sight seeing spot like Mana village (Last village of Indo – China Border), VyasGufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the "Mukh" of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinath. Overnight stay at Badrinath.
Badrinathone of the 'Four Dhams' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries". Morning after early breakfast, drive to return to reach Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Evening arrive Rishikesh and check into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8 :Badrinath - Rishikesh
Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh.
Temples & Sight Seeing– LaxmanJhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram.
Day 9: Rishikesh - Paonta Sahib – Chandigarh
Morning after breakfast at hotel proceed to Paonta Sahib Gurudwara in Sirmour. Arrive & Darshan in Paonta Sahib Gurudwara. The historic town of Paonta Sahib was founded by the Tenth Guru of Sikh, Guru Gobind Singh who stayed here in the valley of Himachal Pradesh for four years between 1742 to 1745. Later drive to Chandigarh (135 kms). Arrival at Chandigarh & check in to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Chandigarh – Amritsar
After breakfast start for Amritsar. Reach Amritsar. Check in hotel. Then visit Golden Temple-the most important sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs.
Sri Harimandir Sahib: The Harimandir Sahib (meaning Temple of God) is also commonly known as the Golden Temple or Darbar Sahib (Divine Court). It is situated in the city of Amritsar in Punjab. The Golden Temple is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. It is a source of inspiration for all Sikhs and their chief place of pilgrimage.Sri Harmandir Sahib is the heritage of the Sikh people gathered in their five hundred years old history. Legends and miracles are connected with the holy tank while great martyrdoms and triumphs are associated with various spots of the temple precincts.
Sri Akal Takht Sahib :Akal Takht Sahib literally means Eternal Throne. It is also part of the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar. It's foundation was laid by Guru Hargobind Sahib . The Akal Takht is situated opposite to Harmandir Sahib and are connected by a passage. The building of the Akal Takht opposite the Golden Temple has a special meaning. While the Golden Temple stands for spiritual guidance the Akal Takht symbolizes the dispensing of justice and temporal activity. During the day the Guru Granth Sahib is kept in the Golden Temple, while at night it is kept in the Akal Takht Sahib. In earlier days all Sikh warriors sought blessings here before going to battle fields. During the 18th century while Sikhs were fighting a guerrilla war in the forests they used to gather at the Akal Takht on special occasions such as Baisakhi and Diwali. Here the community used to have general meetings and approve resolutions. The Akal Takht is the oldest of the Five Takhts. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Departure Day
Transfer to Railway station / Airport for onward journey.
